SENIOR CONSULTANT AND PRINCIPAL:

Dr. David Sheridan     

David Sheridan, B.Comm., M.A., Ed.D

Dr. David Sheridan is a seasoned management consultant, credentialed adult educator and accomplished process facilitator with a national profile in governance and strategic planning for not-for-profit organizations. In the past 30 years he has worked with numerous health organizations, social service agencies, educational institutions, municipalities, associations, networks, community groups and all levels of government.

David obtained his Doctorate in Education from the University of Toronto in 1998 concentrating on planning and policy development. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce (economics) from Carleton University and a Master of Arts (organizational sociology) from York University. Davidís U of T doctoral thesis on strategic planning won a major international planning award and a prestigious Canadian research award. The unique strategic planning model developed through that research now been adopted by more than 60 public and not-for-profit organizations in Canada and the United States, ranging from small volunteer organizations to the government of the State of Maryland.

Davidís approach to consulting is conceptually based, drawing on his substantial expertise as an organizational sociologist, adult educator and strategic planner. His sessions are grounded, practical, respectful, transparent, adaptive and fast paced. He has delivered hundreds of planning, education and problem solving sessions that consistently been positively reviewed by participants.

Ryan Stanga

Ryan Stanga is an organizational consultant and applied researcher with over 15 years experience, largely in the health and mental health sectors. Ryanís passion is around working with non-profit service organizations to identify their strengths, better engage their clients and improve their programs and services.

Ryan spent 10 years as a consultant in Windsor-Essex County doing applied organizational research such as culture audits, reviews of organizational functioning and program evaluations with a diverse array of clients in the health, education and childrenís services fields. After relocating to Toronto, Ryan worked in the private sector conducting consumer and marketing research. Throughout he has brought together senior management and front line staff, service clients, partner agencies, funders and other stakeholders as needed to work together on common goals and vision.

Ryan has a Master of Arts in Applied Social Psychology, with a specialization in Industrial/ Organizational Psychology from the University of Windsor.

 

Deb Ballak     

Deb Ballak, SSW, M.P.A.

Deb has over 30 years of progressive experience serving within the public service, post-secondary education institutions, and not-for-profit organizations. The cornerstone of her career has been around the delivery of government services supporting social assistance, employment, housing, homeless, and public safety initiatives at the municipal level. She has also taught at Fanshawe College, acted as the interim Executive Director of a United Way branch, and volunteered on many community non-profit boards. Deb completed a major secondment with the Ministry of Community and Social Services related to municipal realignment and the harmonization of services. Her passion is working collaboratively with diverse community partners to develop a system of services that is accessible to all members of the community and responsive to emerging needs.

Deb holds a Masterís Degree in Public Administration from the University of Western Ontario, and is a Level Three Certified Municipal Manager.

 

Bonnie Fitzgerald

Bonnie has over 20 years experience in graphic design and office management/administration and over 12 years experience designing and developing for the internet. Bonnie's experience includes design, illustration, editing, development and production of a wide range of materials, from web sites to interactive television systems, product manuals to corporate promotional materials. Bonnie has worked virtually with organizations across Canada, the United States and the Caribbean.

Nick Sidoruk, B.A., M.A.
Methodological Consultant

Nick Sidoruk has been conducting major research projects in the health and social services field for 35 years. A recognized expert in survey research and program evaluation, Nick provides methodological and technical support to the research component of our various projects. Nick has an extensive client list of municipalities, provincial and federal governments, community agencies, universities and social planning councils.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts from McMaster University and has completed post-graduate studies (empirical theory and methodology) at York University and the Institute for Behavioural Research.

 

In addition to this strong consulting team with well over 100 years consulting experience, the firm has access to a broad range of content specialists and resource people that are retained on a project specific basis.
