Canadian Kennel Club Strategic Planning Process

To Our Members and Staff:

The Board of the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) has initiated a process to review the Club's mission and identify future directions and priorities. Our new strategic plan is being developed with extensive member involvement. (See Appendix A for a description of the process.)

This discussion paper reflects the thinking of the members who have participated in the planning process thus far and is a "work in progress that will evolve as we hear from you. It has been prepared to further inform you about the project and solicit your responses to the emerging strategic directions. We the Board, would appreciate your reviewing this document, and responding to the questions posed. Please review it carefully and consider the questions posed.

These questions have been provided to guide discussion and feedback. You may either reply directly on-line or obtain a hard copy of the paper and a response form by contacting the CKC Order Desk at 1-800-250-8040 or orderdesk@ckc.ca. Regardless of which method you choose to reply, your responses need to be received no later than Friday, August 22, 2008.

Based on your feedback the strategic plan will be revised and a proposed implementation plan will be prepared by CKC staff in early September. The final strategic plan will be submitted to the Board of Directors for approval in late September.
